Product feeds
Most platforms and marketplaces already export a product feed. Give Bitlane its address and it imports it on a schedule, adding, updating and removing products for you.
What it does
Any platform
JSON, NDJSON, CSV or RSS XML, compressed with gzip or not: Bitlane recognises the format on its own.
On your schedule
Choose how often the feed is imported, and follow every run in the index's history.
Removals too
Products no longer in the feed are removed from search after a complete import; a feed that fails halfway never deletes anything.
Large catalogues
Feeds up to 5 GB, read as they download, so millions of products fit.
Set it up
- 1Create an engine and an index in the dashboard.
- 2Choose Feed as the index's indexing type and paste the feed's address.
- 3Set the schedule and start the first import.
- 4Add the widget to your site, or search through the API.
Requirements
- A feed reachable over HTTP or HTTPS, without a login
- JSON array, NDJSON, CSV or RSS XML, optionally gzip-compressed
- Up to 5 GB after decompression
